Founder
Nicole Keating is a certified Mindfulness Meditation Educator and founder of WeeBloom. Since 2017, she has brought Mindfulness practices into classrooms, professional settings, and community events, earning praise for her tremendous skill, vibrant energy, and ability to connect with students of all ages.
With her creative partner, Nicole developed Mindfulness in Motion, an enrichment program that weaves Mindfulness education with arts & crafts, nurturing artistic expression, emotional resilience, and presence. Her in-classroom sessions have reached thousands of students, and her educator training workshops teach practical strategies for integrating Mindfulness into everyday classroom life. She hosts pop-up mindfulness events designed to spark joy, reduce stress, and foster community.
Nicole is certified through Mindful Schools Educator Essentials Program and the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP) with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, offered in partnership with UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center. She is a certified NYC Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and a registered NYC Department of Education vendor.
Nicole lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her Beloved, their teenage son, and boxer pup. She lived all over the United States before settling in the "city that never sleeps (but occasionally meditates)." She has the rhythm of New York City pulsing through her veins, is sprinkled with Midwestern values and Jersey pride, and has California in her heart.
Instructor
Jane Kotapish, a native of Virginia, studied English and dance at The College of William and Mary, and got her master's degree in creative writing at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. For the past 30 years she has worked in New York City as a dancer and freelance writer, producing marketing copy for publishing companies including Random House, Crown Books and Oxford University Press, as well as poetry and fiction. She currently writes on behalf of asylum seekers within the immigration system.
Jane came to Mindfulness through a group of Brooklyn public school parents who bonded first to survive daily life with young children, then to survive a global pandemic; with and for them, she began writing guided meditations. She was trained for the classroom through Mindful Schools and joined WeeBloom's teaching team in 2021, bringing her unique pedagogical style to kids ages 4 to 18, as well as to adult professionals in the public school realm.
Instructor
Abigail Somma (Abbie), a certified mindfulness trainer, writer, and former UN speechwriter, whose work lives at the intersection of emotional wellbeing, mindful communications, and social connection. For nearly a decade, she has facilitated workshops and trainings worldwide—from Vienna to NYC to London—helping individuals and organizations cultivate resilience, purpose, and presence.
Before founding her wellness ventures, Abigail spent over 15 years as a communications consultant to the United Nations in various roles, including Lead Comms for UN Women's HeforShe program and Lead Speechwriter to the President of the UN General Assembly. She crafted speeches, op-eds, and campaigns for multiple UN agencies on issues including climate, gender, and sustainability.
She is the founder of Gratitude Buddies, a global platform that pairs people to exchange small daily joys—and now also offers a skill-swap feature, allowing users to connect through shared learning and mutual support. Gratitude Buddies is rooted in the belief that connection, gratitude, and reciprocity support deeper well-being.
Abigail is also a poet and playwright whose work has been staged in four professional theater productions. Her creative work continues to inform and enrich her approach to wellness, communication, and community-building. She holds degrees from Johns Hopkins SAIS and Villanova University and lives in Vienna with her two children.
